About Shamai

Shamai Currim is a Therapist, Educator, and Educational Consultant and Trainer. Her undergraduate degree in Applied Social Science (now known as Applied Human Science) was received from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, her graduate degree in Education was received from the University of Bridgeport, in Connecticut, and her Doctorate in Transpersonal Psychology came from Westbrook University, West Virginia. She has diplomas and has been certified as both an Early Childhood and Family Life Educator, has been working as an alternative therapist since 1990, and has been licensed as a Massotherapist, Aromatherapist, and Reflexologist working with Lymphatic Drainage and the Metamorphic Technique. She has Certified Polarity Educator/Registered Polarity Practitioner status with the American Polarity Association and has advanced training in Cranio Sacral and Myofascial work. As a Psychosynthesist, she has training and experience working with Deep Trauma, is capable of working eclectically, has been trained to use the Energy Psychologies (EMDR, EFT) and is both a Colour/light and Sound Therapist with the ability to work long distance.

Shamai is an accomplice with Oh Shinnah FastWolf who works in the ways of the Shishindi people, and has been given permission to conduct Sacred Fire/Moon Ceremony. She is also an initiate of Sant Mat/Shabd Yoga and a disciple of the current living master, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj.

Shamai has worked as an educator, teacher trainer and administrator in the field of Early Childhood and Family Life Education both in North America and abroad. She has worked with children and families with special needs and has been active in working with the AIDS and Prison communities. She was the Director of a Senior Citizen's Summer Residence and Children's Day Camp for 17 years. She believes in being active in reform and has sat on the Steering Committee of the Association for the Advancement of Psychosynthesis, the board of the International Organization of the Helen Prize for Women, the board of the Association of Early Childhood Educators, and as the Executive Director of Eduporta International Education Agency. She was a chosen attendee at the Leadership Training Course at the Canadian Jewish Congress and the first recipient of the Ross-Seaman Memorial Leadership Award at Concordia University.

Tri-Therapy: Body, Mind Soul is a coming together of all the therapeutic techniques that are embodied in the work that Shamai does.
